white lineman and no black kickers?

There are quite a few black offensive linemen, particularly at the tackle positions, but you are right the majority seems to be white. Probably because back in high school or pop warner when they started playing football the coach saw a white kid and a black kid both about the same size and put the white kid at center and the black kid at nose tackle because that is what he had always seen on tv with the NFL. Kickers probably the same thing. Plus kids want to be like their heroes and usually pick heroes of the same race, so they grow up to play those same positions.

Black are good athletes. In Pop Warner and Junior High, the coach will probably have them be running backs, wide receivers, safeties, etc. So that's where they get all their experience and practice. If there were black kids out there who were great kickers, no coach in the world wouldn't sign them or recruit them based on prejudice.

That's because "blacks" and whites are different types of athletes. Blacks are generally faster and can jump higher which is good for receivers and corners but white athletes are quicker and more cerebral which leads to being qbs and linemen. That's why there's no crazy white running qbs and no black pure pocket passer qbs (excluding the exceptional Warren Moon)

People are people. Do you realize this was the first playoff game for Russell Wilson, the person.

The first playoff win for Tony Gonzales the person.

The first playoff win for Mike Smith the person/coach.

Who cares if they are white, black, red....

I like many players and some coaches; usually the ones the media does not like. hmmm

I heard a rumor that the Raiders were thinking of signing a black Punter to replace Shane Lechler. Punter and Kicker are pretty close.

So few make it to the NFL level that they are all outliers. Obviously at the historically black colleges they have black linemen and black kickers.

Just based on athletic skill, nothing to do with race/color! EDIT: Huge cliche that Blacks are better athletes, just depends on the person! And Queen are amazing! Love them!!

Probably because they don't have fun kicking or blocking...
