An Oregon Trail game to download or buy that is compatible with Windows 7?

I would like to play the Deluxe version or the 5th installment mainly but any one of the games that's compatible will be fine. I heard about this Dosbox program that makes old games compatible with your computer, is Dosbox compatible with W7? Please don't send me anywhere that I need to fill out a long scam survey just to download the game or anything like that. And please don't send me to http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html that game cuts off at the end.

Update:

@sam: once downloaded I clicked "Oregon-Trail-deluxe" and then "Setup" but nothing happens, on the other icons in the file, when i click on them it asks if i want to extract, should i just go ahead and do that?

Update 2:

sam and O.M. both of your links download the exact the same file. just mentioning it for reference.

You can download the game eg. here:

    (use the free download option)

However you'll definitely need the mentioned DOSBox program, it is of course compatible with Windows 7 - www.dosbox.com . Or, you can download Dfend - it's more user friendly - http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/

Based on the screen shots, is this the game you're talking about?

If so, tell me in the additional details and then I'll write a tutorial on how to set it up on Windows 7.

I got Oregon Trail about a month ago off of Ebay, for 5 bucks, total with shipping. Just check and make sure what version it is, I got the 5th version, its the last one, and its not as fun as the version we used to have, instead of seeing yourself traveling the trail, you see a big map and watch the line on it, that kinda sucks. But you do still get to hunt and even fish.
