If Obama talked to the people of Afghanistan not as a president but as another Muslim could he calm them.?

If an Afghan had shot a lot of American men, women, and children would anyone's words calm you? You would be in the streets calling for death to all Afghans. They are people responding normally to an abnormal situation. All that would calm them would be for the surviving families to determine his fate, which will of course never happen.

It would be to no avail. Too late now. Had he put an end to the war on terrorism as was promised, he would be a worldwide muslim hero. But as things stand, he is considered by muslims to be the greatest terrorist on Earth. Being american would override being muslim, even though his muslim-friendly stance has been obvious from the start. They would just throw shoes at him !

If he were a Muslim, which he is not, and you know that fact, he would still be part of the enemy to the Islamic faith.
