Anyone have experience with food and mood?

I have been wondering if feelings of depression or anxiety may be liked to poor diet choices. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any at all- could be specific foods that can make you feel better, certain nutrients that can make you feel better, lack of specific nutrients that may cause you to feel worse, addition of certain chemicals, additives, etc. that make you feel worse, general diet habits such as when you eat or how much at a time, or food combining... anything! Thank you

I have anxiety and depression. My diet is not what causes it, but do feel that it influences it. I also had high chlolesterol and went to a dietitian to learn how to lower it without meds, worked, and I do feel better. The amount of rest that I get also plays a big factor.

These things are not the cause of my anxiety and depression!

This is something you should discuss with you physician!

Do not sit around guessing ( for years), like I did. I can now enjoy myself much, much, more than I ever did before! It is amazing.

Most everyone that knows me, knows that I have this issue and they have no problem with it. They are all happy that I finally talked to my physician and addressed the issue.

They enjoy being around me more now.

You are asking here, so now, talk to your Physician or Doctor. They are the ones that can give you the correct answer to your question.

Yep. Doesn't fairly topic what you've gotten been consuming, looking to get "three hots and a cot" as a rule interprets to "greater" intellectual well being. (Better than what?, that style of relies...") Of direction meals which can be well for you'll mainly stick to you extra, and deliver greater outcome. According to my document, and a number of dietitians, satisfactory outcome will arise from consuming approximately 5 low cal foods an afternoon, widespread at the fruit and vegg, lowish at the carbs. If you might have a psych quandary, check out combining your meds, taken at the authorised time table, with healthful foods. Don't quit meds founded on vitamin or some thing else.

omega 3 fatty acids are known to improve mood. you can buy something called 3-6-9 or fish oil and flax seed oil supplements at most grocery stores. take them daily. eating well, exersizing and getting enough sleep are also important for mood. taking the omega 3s regularly for a few months really helped my mood.
