Combined Test: Mismatched tack for dressage?

Ok, so I am taking my TB to our first combined test next week and wasn't sure about which bridle to use! I have a nice black dressage bridle, but I don't have a dressage saddle, so it doesn't really match my brown hunt saddle. Would I be better off using just my regular brown bridle to match or would using the black dressage bridle be okay?

Update:

I guess I could have added more details!

We are just doing starter level for our first show together!

It's technically a schooling show, levels ranging from baby green-prelim.

I think it's better to match. What level are you? Since it's combined, I would pick matching over black. Color shouldn't matter thru many levels.

Go with Brown bride, brown saddle. I might be reported for recommending this, but it's the best choice

    Good luck!

    It really will not matter.

I have written for many judges at all levels and have yet to hear one comment on the colour of a horse's tack. The only time was over brightly coloured saddle cloths.

matching will give a nicer overall presentation. If its just a schooling show, then i don't think it matters if you have legit dressage tack or not. good luck at your show!

It doesn't matter, since you're not judged on your tack. It would look nicer if they matched, but it won't affect your score if they don't.
