Why Are Millions Of Americans Preparing For Doomsday?

The Solar Flair? sorry, it already passed without causing Doomsday.

Global Warming? Well, I don't feel any need to prepare for that.

!2-21-12? It's fun to speculate, but not many really believe in it.

The Rapture? It's been delayed again, nobody knows for how long.

The return of the Occulted Imam? That's just a Shia thing.

World War III? Well, I'm preparing, but I don't think it will be the end of the world.

Are there others?

Because there's a 0.000000000000000000000000000000099% chance all doomsday predictions will happen, WWIII being the most likey but it won't end civilization, an asteroid would do it though and there's no protection from a nuclear winter that follows after the impact.

I think it's a superiority thing. They think they are stronger and smarter than the average guy. I really think they underestimate the consequences of martial law and etc. I don't care how armed and 'Dug in" someone is, if my kid is starving and they have food and resources, I'm going to get it from them one way or another.

Many doomsday nut's land will be an oasis of anarchy if there were to be a nuclear war, etc. If they think they are going to sit on their rations and guns defended only by "Billy Bob" and his brother, they are just nuts.

During times of uncertainty people become insecure, and feel that much closer to catastrophe.
