  • Chat site hacking: empty threats?

So I was on a chat earlier, some person said they could ban my IP address and "ping" my IP in just two minutes, so are they full of crap or what? Don't you need permission from site owners or a fedral warrant to do it legally?

    I don't believe this person/troll one bit.

  • Are the HDMI connnections on my TV damaged?

    So: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvaCA...

Turns out my HDTV works after a lightning storm struck a power pole containing my cable and internet service.

I have a cable box that connects to my TV with a HDMI cable, I tried turning it on along with my TV and it doesn't show up when I look for video sources with my TV settings, I tried my xbox's HDMI connection (I don't use HDMI with my xbox) and it shows up on the source list but doesn't display on my TV.

Could it be the cable itself or the HDMI ports on my TV?

  • Can a rifle be registered as a handgun?

Before you judge this question, look up "Ewbank AK 47 pistol", it looks like a krinkov with a greatly shortened barrel, but that's not what I'm looking for.

I have a AK-47, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AicOR... basically I want to get the rifle customized (it is technically legal besides the obvious) to keep the barrel length with out doing too much work or replacing anything and replace the flash suppressor with a new one.

I live in Arizona, so any help would be appreciated.

  • Gunsmithing: barrel lengths and legal issues?

I bought a rifle from a gun show dirt cheap, the barrel was damaged because the previous owner installed a flash suppressor by welding it on the barrel and then tried to remove it with a router tool. The barrel has a breach about 3/4" from the gas port and with out the flash suppressor the barrel length is under 16".

Is it possible to have the barrel fixed with out having to replace it?

Can I still own the assault rifle that has a barrel length less than 16"?

  • What do you think about Battlefield 4?

The beta is coming out with the pre-order of MOH: Warfighter, Armored kill comes out in September, Aftermath in January, and End Game in May of next year, BF4 is set to come out in Fall of 2013. So it might come out in November like most big name titles.

Personally I think its too soon and just a shot in the dark when it comes to themes and plots for a title, you can only kill so many Russians, like Black Ops 2, they're taking a gamble with robots in the game now so hopefully BF4 won't go down this road ...

  • Cant connect to the internet, a 169.254.215.78 IP address, what could be the problem?

So I installed my new modem (motorola surfboard SB5101U) with the disc included on my computer for the first time. On my computer I used the CMD prompt IPCONFIG /ALL or other CMD prompts, I get the 169.254.215.78 IP address I also tried a system restore which didn't work, when its trying to aquire the network address it comes up with the "limited or no connection" error messege.

Are there any solutions for this? Is it a problem with my ISP or my computer?

I also can't connect to xbox live through my modem.

  • Why cant i connect to the internet, please help?

I recently got internet from sudden link, they provided me with a modem, I just can't get onto the internet for some reason. The power, receive, send and online lights are fully lit except for the pc/activity which keeps blinking when I plug it into my computer or xbox. I called sudden link to register my modem and gave them my HFC MAC ID #, the tech told me to wait 15 minutes and try again, it didn't work. I have a split coaxial connection also connecting to my TV for cable. When I install the software to my computer, the system tells me there is little to no connection and doesn't connect.

  • Wireless internet, which one has the best coverage/prices/connections?

I can't get a internet connection other than a satellite connection, my only option is a wireless connection from a wireless provider that provides wifi connection with a 4g or a 3g broadband.

Most plans have a data cap, what company has the most to offer when it comes to a data cap?

  • Whats your experience with comcast internet and/or cable (bundle)?

I'm getting an internet connection on my own for the first time, I'm probably going to go with comcast since they're advertising in my area with a 4G connection (I'm not sure if its a wireless only deal), I might also bundle with their cable.

I know they're a bit pricey but all companies seem to be, if not more.

  • Cable internet and installation on my house?

The house I live in already has cable and the coaxial connections installed from the previous owners, if I buy a cable modem on my own, I don't know if I have to buy a wireless modem though, would I be cutting down on installation fees?

  • Wireless routers???????

I'm kind of an amatuer at this lol , I've decided to get an 4g connection internet from comcast, I'm worried they'll charge an arm and a leg for installation fees and what ever else. Would it be cheaper if I buy a wireless router and probably not have a maintenence guy tearing up my walls and not be forced to rent a modem or pay for installation fees? How does this work?

And could I attach a ethernet cable to a wireless router for online gaming?

  • What doctor specializes in the jaw?

For years I've had this popping noise in my jaw, when I go to the dentist and have to open my mouth as wide as I can, it feels like my jaw locks up, when I yawn my jaw feels like its going to get stuck, and then I get a weird cramp in my neck and chin. Is this normal?
