Wireless routers???????

I'm kind of an amatuer at this lol , I've decided to get an 4g connection internet from comcast, I'm worried they'll charge an arm and a leg for installation fees and what ever else. Would it be cheaper if I buy a wireless router and probably not have a maintenence guy tearing up my walls and not be forced to rent a modem or pay for installation fees? How does this work?

And could I attach a ethernet cable to a wireless router for online gaming?

first - the modem is your internet source. You can have a modem alone and have internet if you have ethernet cables but you can't just have a router. A router is the thing to have if you want WiFi. And i have Comcast. It's pricey, but go for it.

second - as for installation, you can do it yourself. There are two cables that go into the wall - one looks like a TV cable. The other is just a power cord.

third - yes, you can attach an ethernet cable to a router. But, as i just stated, you need a modem if you want a router. For video and online gaming, however, i would suggest plugging it directly into the modem - if you don't have a router attached.
