Cant connect to the internet, a 169.254.215.78 IP address, what could be the problem?
So I installed my new modem (motorola surfboard SB5101U) with the disc included on my computer for the first time. On my computer I used the CMD prompt IPCONFIG /ALL or other CMD prompts, I get the 169.254.215.78 IP address I also tried a system restore which didn't work, when its trying to aquire the network address it comes up with the "limited or no connection" error messege.
Are there any solutions for this? Is it a problem with my ISP or my computer?
I also can't connect to xbox live through my modem.

169.254.x.x is an APIPA address that is non-routable.
Windows will assign itself one of these addresses if the DHCP server does not distribute an IP address in a timely fashion.
Make sure you have called your ISP and given them the new mac address of your new modem.
