I cant connect to the internet with my motorola sb5101u modem?
I recently got internet from sudden link, they provided me with a modem, I just can't get onto the internet for some reason.
The power, receive, send and online lights are fully lit except for the pc/activity which keeps blinking when I plug it into my computer or xbox.
I called sudden link to register my modem and gave them my HFC MAC ID #, the tech told me to wait 15 minutes and try again, it didn't work.
I have a split coaxial connection also connecting to my TV for cable.
When I install the software to my computer, the system tells me there is little to no connection and doesn't connect.

Do they have techs that can come out and set this up? The activity light blinking is normally a good sign that things are communicating. Have you connected your computer and xbox at the same time? Some ISP's "limit" the connections to one, so if you plug one in and then another device it will block it. In that situation you basically need a router behind the router.
I'd power it down, disconnect everything but your computer, then boot it up (after 30 seconds or so) and see if it connects after a couple minutes. If not, I'd get on the line with a tech.
