1/2 Marathon - Weight Loss and Energy Boosting suggestions?
I am training for a half marathon that is coming up in the beginning of May and I need a few suggestions for some problems I've encountered. I thought this half marathon training would be a good way to get in better shape and to tone up, along with proving to myself that I'm capable of such a feat (13.1 miles is a feat for me!).
Since the New Year I have been working out i.e. lifting weights, cardio, and jogging. However, I still haven't lost any weight (in fact I've gained weight), and my energy levels (especially during my runs) are extremely low. I feel I should see some improvement considering I work out at least four times a week. I try to eat healthy and pretty much have simplified my grocery list to include eggs, mushrooms, cheerios, bananas, bread, peanut butter, skim milk, and because I am a college student, I splurge on the ramen noodles. I will admit to impulsively snacking during the day, but I wouldn't say it's a very significant amount (and it's usually on peanut butter or a bowl of cereal), and I do eat out every now and then as well. I also drink often on the weekends and know that that could be a factor in why I'm not losing weight, and even why I feel tired a lot, but I don't think that that is the only reason...
I'm 5'8" - 150 pounds, and I know that that isn't overweight for that height but I definitely want to lose weight and the excess fat that I've accumulated since last year (when I weighed 140).
I don't need people telling me to just keep what I'm doing! Or, you don't need to lose weight! I truly just want to lose the fat and tone up, and I'd appreciate any useful feedback. And my low energy levels are hindering my training program (I haven't even ran more than three miles yet...). The fact that I've gained weight (please don't say it's muscle, I am positive that is not why I'm gaining that much weight), and the fact that my energy levels are low, are really taking a toll on my motivation to do this race. Are there any suggestions to boost my energy for a more productive workout, and/or suggestions on how to properly use this training time to lose weight? Any specific foods I should be eating, or (god-forbid) a good supplement? Also, no, I'm not pregnant. I only have a little over a month to train and lose some weight/fat (my overall goal is 135 by June so any suggestions for weight loss after my training would be great too). I'd appreciate any constructive feedback and I'll be happy to answer any questions. Thanks for your help!
*** I also need to say that I know I can just look up "how to lose weight" on the internet but I thought I'd try my luck on here :)

I have a suggestion but it's up to you if you want to take it because many people will disagree with me. You can take diet pill one that I know that works for me and many people is pro clinical hydroxcut diet pill. I only take it for 5 days and I lost 2 pound. But I only take it when I'm going to eat so about 2 pill a day for 5 day and I lost 2 pound.

You need approximately 2523 calories per day to maintain your current weight, based on your current activity level.
Moderate Activity: Activities of daily living, plus activities like brisk walking (15-20 minutes per mile), dancing, skating, leisurely bicycling, golfing, doubles tennis, mowing the lawn, or yoga 3-5 days per week.
To lose weight: To take off 1 pound per week, you need to create a "deficit" of 500 calories per day. You can do this by eating 250 fewer calories a day (for example, cut out a 20-ounce bottle of regular soda) and burning an extra 250 calories through physical activity (for example, walk for 2.5 miles). Another way to cut back on calories is to watch your portion sizes.
I would recommend that you get Shakeology, which is the healthiest meal of the day. It helps boost energy & has a whole serving of vegetables in one glass. If you dont believe me read my artcile about it below!
