Should voters be required to prove their citizenship / identity ?

Should voters be required to prove their citizenship / identity ?

Is it not a form of hypocrisy when a politician can not accept money from foreign campaign donors but it is legal for him to have foreigners / non-citizens vote for him.

Over 30 states want some form of voter identification. The left maintains that there is no "voter fraud" of any significant size..... How do they know? There is no way to know the amount of election fraud with the current system. I know of one case where two people who had been dead over a year voted? In another case a man registered his "dog" to vote.

The argument against voter registration is some people do not have identification..... Is it not time for them to get some identification?

Which is better..... losing the vote of people so un-involved they can not take the time to get an identification card or allow possibly millions of non-citizens vote

we do not allow non-citizens to be President but we make it easy for non-citizens to vote for the President?????

Yes, they should. Many Democrats rely on the dead, dogs, cheaters who vote twice, those who sell their votes, and of course--illegal aliens--to steal elections.

This must be stopped and they must stop hiding behind their bogus reason: political correctness.

How about being honest and showing an ID? You need one to get a library card or to cash a check.

Voting is much more important than that.

It's shameful the way Attorney General Holder is blocking the TX law requiring voters to show IDs. It clearly shows you WHO and WHAT Barry O'Bummer is--when the head lawyer of the USA, the one he appointed, is blocking honest voting. It's heinous.

Yes they should be required to show ID, here in Texas a law requiring Id to vote was blocked by the Obama administration. The reason given is that it would not allow poor people to vote because they do not have the money pay for an ID. However, prior to passing the law the state made a provision that a person lacking the funds to pay for an ID can obtain a State issued photo ID at no charge. Obama's Administration also said that it would impose a hardship on the Latino community because most of them do not have an ID. I would ask that if that were the case then why are so many of them driving on the street if they have no license? And if that were true then why can they not obtain a free ID from the state, unless they are here illegally in which case they do not need to be voting in our elections anyway. But then if they were not allowed to vote then Barry could not win.

My state has had this law since 2008. It went to the supreme court which found it to be legal and it has cause very few if any problems. Voter turn out actually increased. Texas followed the same plan as my state but they are being stopped in their tracks by DOJ.

The ACLU is taking it to the UN to have them decide what our laws should be concerning voting. Countries that don't even allow women to vote will be deciding on our law. Countries with forced abortions will be deciding our law. Countries that treat women like dogs will decide whether our voting law is an attempt to stop minorities from voting. Unbelievable.

Yes, There is much proof that immigrant non citizens vote by the millions, experts in voter polling speak about this on tv media and radio media. Photo ID will NOT stop these immigrants from voting and they often have have multiple ID's and use them to vote. Proof of citizenship is really what is needed, just like Mexico has with hologram, manetic strip and fingerprints with signature. When is our government going to be for its citizens right to a protected legitimate vote and stop allowing immigrant non citizens to elect our politicians!?

Seems like a silly question in my opinion.Of course a citizen of the usa must confirm their identity to vote.Hummmm!

    Source(s): Common sense(To me)

Im torn between this issue, voter ids will make it easier to stop possible vote frauds (i.e ACORN) casting votes for dead people, but at the same time it targets younger voters who may not have voter ids or people of different descent that dont have the ids either, thats how people start thinking its a law designed to discriminate voters.

Only the Left opposes any attempt to curb voter fraud. The reason for this is they seem to have the most to gain from it.
