How do I watch movies in ubuntu 11.10?

It says I need to decrypt the movie what does that mean?

    VLC includes most codecs

    otherwise install the restriced-extras package.

    Install the "ubuntu-restricted-extras" package.

    You can also add the Medibuntu repository for additional codecs.

    I second VLC for Linux video playback.
