why does my boxer have lots of sleep in his eye at least 8 times a day?

I would take him to the vet to get it checked out properly, weeping from the eye that needs cleaning that many times could have an underlying problem.

i've had 2 boxer dogs, and had the same thing. its very common for boxer dogs to have lots of gunk from their eye.if it really is a lot then you might want to check with the vet that he doesn't have an eye infection, butmy dogs never had any problems with their eyes, and they still had lots of sleep coming from them

Sounds like an eye infection or a blocked duct and you are very posibly not helping any 'wiping' it................................

Has he had shots for distemper? That can be a symptom of it
