A camera up yours, this means you are in America?
In the great state of Texas they (Republicans) had passed a law which mandating that any woman who wants and abortion must first have a trans-vaginal ultrasound test, and view the image. A trans-vaginal ultrasound test requires that a probe be put IN a womans vagina. If I were to force a camera up a womans vagina, I would be hung for rape. Not so in Texas. This law was passed for moral reasons. Government *Mandated* rape to take pictures, at the tax-payers expense, because a woman goes to her doctor. I am waiting for a Democrat law (why not) that requires that any man who goes to his doctor and asks for an Rx for Viagra must first have the doctor massage his prostate gland to determine if that might solve his little problem. (We take far too many pills). His partner could just use a finger instead.
No birth control pills. No masturbation. What next, a camera in your bedroom? The purpose of the party of limited government it is shove a camera up your vagina and take pictures? Keep 'em moral.
I can't believe that I am typing this, it sounds like it was made up and had been posted on a perverts web site. I won't vote for a Republican because of this alone. What a mess. We have a bunch of candidates running around sticking their fingers in each other's noses. They do not inspire me to follow them as a leader. Puke.
Correction. It is Idaho that had passed this law. Wrong state. Same mess.
It was also considered in Virginia.In VA it was appealed to the courts and is unconstitutional, a violation of the 4th amendment. (Unreasonable search and seizure). The Constitution has saved us from a probe covered with a condom and K-Y. But not from the people who think that way. I still won't vote for someone who thinks that's the best idea for an unwanted pregnancy. Government has no business in my sex life, or yours. It's bad enough that they are in our wallets, but I suppose that tax is a part of life. Between my legs? You can not do this, you must do that? I don't have sex with the government. Is this moral? I don't even want abortion! This 'solution' is the 'morality' reply of a sex pervert. Lock them up!

I don't know why YA doubled my above correction. Do a search Transvaginal Ultrasound on Yahoo and on Google. It made the news.

Under this law, I see no "trans-vaginal" or "vaginal". The law states:
(4) before any sedative or anesthesia is administered to the pregnant woman and at least 24 hours before the abortion or at least two hours before the abortion if the pregnant woman waives this requirement by certifying that she currently lives 100 miles or more from the nearest abortion provider that is a facility licensed under Chapter 245 or a facility that performs more than 50 abortions in any 12-month period:
(A) the physician who is to perform the abortion or an agent of the physician who is also a sonographer certified by a national registry of medical sonographers performs a sonogram on the pregnant woman on whom the abortion is to be performed;
(B) the physician who is to perform the abortion displays the sonogram images in a quality consistent with current medical practice in a manner that the pregnant woman may view them;
(C) the physician who is to perform the abortion provides, in a manner understandable to a layperson, a verbal explanation of the results of the sonogram images, including a medical description of the dimensions of the embryo or fetus, the presence of cardiac activity, and the presence of external members and internal organs; and
(D) the physician who is to perform the abortion or an agent of the physician who is also a sonographer certified by a national registry of medical sonographers makes audible the heart auscultation for the pregnant woman to hear, if present, in a quality consistent with current medical practice and provides, in a manner understandable to a layperson, a simultaneous verbal explanation of the heart auscultation;

"Sonogram" means the use of ultrasonic waves for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, specifically to monitor an unborn child.

I believe that you where in a rush to jump on a misinterpretation of the law.
