Have you heard Pletnev's piano transcription of Grand Pas De Deux from the Nutcracker?

Mikhail Pletnev recorded in 1978 for Melodiya.

I just wanted to share this as I only discovered this recording myself the other week and the ending struck me as especially beautiful.

    The book contains Concert Suites from the Ballets "The Sleeping Beauty and the Nutcracker" by Pletnev.

    Hi, mephy. I have heard a few Tchaikovsky transcriptions by Pletnev - most of them from 'The Nutcracker' - and I have enjoyed them enormously.

    Definitely has a 'feel' for this music: wonder if he also conducts? If he doesn't, maybe should try his hand at it.
