Have you heard Pletnev's piano transcription of Grand Pas De Deux from the Nutcracker?

Mikhail Pletnev recorded in 1978 for Melodiya.

I just wanted to share this as I only discovered this recording myself the other week and the ending struck me as especially beautiful.

Hi, mephy. I have heard a few Tchaikovsky transcriptions by Pletnev - most of them from 'The Nutcracker' - and I have enjoyed them enormously.

Thank you for posting this :-)

EDIT @ mephy: Oh yeah! So you did! Good isn't it?

Definitely has a 'feel' for this music: wonder if he also conducts? If he doesn't, maybe should try his hand at it.

Ah, information/knowledge - thanks again to our esteemed "del".

Edit: my SHAME - just not up with the times I guess. [but 3 TD's for that? I'll just chalk it up to my devoutly devoted, detractor TROLLS!]
