18 weeks & my whole body aches?

I am in so much pain I could cry. My muscles ache all over my entire body. My butt, back, legs, arms, neck... all of it. I've never felt like this before during any prenancy! What could cause this? Baby is fine, just had an ultra sound today.

The wonderful world of pregnancy! "Sigh....." I just had my 4th child a month ago and through out my whole pregnancy I was miserable! Every muscle in my body ached, my stomach always hurt and I was always grumpy! Your muscles are going to ache because remember your body is carrying extra weight that it's not used to for 9 months. My body ached so bad that I would just lay there on the sofa not wanting to get up. Everytime I would walk my hip and back would pop. It was horrible! I took regular strength Tylenol if the pain got unbearable. If you can not tolerate the pain talk to your doctor about it and see what she/he recommends. You can also ask your husband for a massage or see if your doctor would recommend physical therapy. Also drink plenty of water because not only will it keep you hydrated it will help your muscles. When you wake up in the morning try simple stretches to stretch your body out. I found that body pillows help when sleeping at night as well. They sell body pillows for pregnancy. Remember that each pregnancy is different and your body will react and treat each pregnancy different. I had the perfect pregnancy with my sons as where with my daughters it was a rough pregnancy and recovery. Take care and Good Luck!
