Indians do you really think Sri lanka lost deliberately to Bangladesh to avoid India getting in to the finals?

●Ok a time for a reality check! Indian fans… I know this is burning inside you. Some of you may be trying not to show it but deep down inside you are about to snap! I know India had a really tough time in recent tournaments when ever Lanka involved, which resulted India being pushed out from the finals some how some way in a strange manner! And even the issues like Randiv’s no ball are coming to your mind to prove your point of that SL screwing india, aren’t you?

I agree that when it comes to the spirit of the game, last 2 years India played with more spirit than Lanka. Yeah I give you that. I know that Randiv’s no ball should be a 95% intentionally bowled(nothing can be proved 100% on those controversial matters) But India, in fact the great little master Sachin has shown the true spirit of the game by calling back Thirimanne who was Mankadding. So once again I give you all the credit in the world for standing for the spirit of the game while SL was not in recent 2 years whenever they played India. I am not gonna give you examples of the past where indian players too few times splitting the spirit of the game. I am talking about the recent couple of years.

But that is a different topic. Coming back to the topic I was discussing what on earth make you think that Lanka deliberately lost to Bangladesh to kick India out of the Asia cup? Did they stoop that low? What they gonna earn by doing that? Losing all 3 matches for the first time in their Asia cup history? Is that a some sort of a great achievement? Winning the match against Bangladesh was very important for us for the pride. Do you really think Sri Lanka had a huge rivalry with India to do whatever it takes to stop them getting in to the finals at all costs?

Why don’t you see the other side of the coin. Recently some Lankan media and journalists have been saying that Lankan players intentionally not playing well whenever they play India. They still ask what happened to Malinga’s Yorkers in the 2011 WC final. And one journalist said that Malinga plays real cricket in IPL but he is just doing a job playing for SL where he do not give his 100% against india intentionally. SL team was heavily criticized bcz of this. So you should realize that from one side SL is accused for intentionally keep screwing india and from the other side they were criticized for intentionally allowing India to win! Give me a break now!

Dropping catches poor and washy cricket doesn’t mean the match is fixed. Then IND vs PAK WC Semi Final should be a true match fixer. The Hobart game should be fixed too then. Then we have to say most of the overall cricket matches were fixed bcz number of the times you see dropping catches, playing rash shots to give the wicket away and ordinary bowling there.

Do you know that there were times where SL has struggled against Bangladesh in Bangladesh? In 2009 Trination series we once lost 5 wickets for 6 runs against them! Overall we lost 2 or 3 ODIs at their home soil. Bangla’ has been improving day by day. They are no more sheer minnows. They are very good at their home soil. The exhausted, tired Lankan batsmen who were out of form with bunch of undeserved guys like Kapugedara, struggled. Yet our bowlers showed some fight with taking 5 wickets for 137 once. But the Indian bowlers conceded 290 runs and just took 5 wickets against them. India also lost to Bangladesh, Pakistan was so close to lose so why not SL?

In the Asia cup Indians were very unlucky. They defeated the 2 toughest teams yet lost the critical encounter to Bangladesh. That’s it. Try to get over it. Time will heel all the sorrows. But the next time SL play one on one with India it’s gonna be colossal for sure! In recent 3-4 years India has been getting the better of Sri Lanka. 1996 to 2007 SL had the better of India. Let’s see whether Indian tiger continue their domination or will the lions wake up from the sleep. Sit back, relax and calm down.
