Wearing a wig to a wedding?
So I'm a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding this summer, and I'm worried about my super short hair. I'm wearing this really feminine bridesmaid dress and I think it looks a bit silly since I have a really short haircut. I mean, I'm clearly female, so I'm not worried about looking like a guy in drag or anything, I just think the two looks clash (super feminine next to tomboy). There's not enough time to grow my hair out (which I hate doing anyways) and I even want to get like half an inc trimmed off. So, since I don't want my hair style to clash with my dress style, I was wondering if it would be acceptable to wear a wig? I would of course ask the bride's opinion, but I want to get a small consensus before bringing it up. Also, my brother (the groom) already suggested the bride (who has a short bob) wear extensions, just to see what it looks like, if that's at all relevant. So I also worry that if the bride has a long style, and the other bridesmaid already has long hair, that I'll throw off the look of the whole wedding party by having a pixie cut. In the end I'll likely just say "**** it" and wear my hair normally, but it's nice to think of the possibilities. Any opinions?

I think that's crazy. This is your hair - and your brother loves you for who you are! If you want to wear a wig for fun and it doesn't look ridiculous or feel uncomfortable, fine. But there is absolutely no reason to feel like you need to change how you look for someone else's wedding.
I think short hair and a feminine dress make for a very cool, modern combination. Check out this fashion blog - she has short hair and is stylish as hell!

My MIL wears her hair super short and she still looks feminine, and even had her super short hair for my wedding.
I really think you should wear your hair short since that's YOU and your style--you'd hate to look back at these pictures and decide you don't like how you look 'cause you wore a wig. Wigs can also be hot, can look fake, and itchy. If you do get a wig, I'd practice wearing it for a bit to make sure you're comfortable in it.
Is your hair long enough for extensions? That could be another option...
But, I think you should just find a way to dress up your current style, either with a fancy headband or some type of hair clip.

I think that either you should just wear your hair as it is, (you are who you are, after all, and everyone need not look alike in a wedding party, plus they knew what your style was like when they invited you to be a part of the wedding), or opt for extensions. Wigs are very hot, and it will be the summer, plus it's very hard to find a natural looking one and you'd have to spend a lot of money for one that doesn't look cheap.

I agree with Merlin. Wigs are HOT. I had to wear one for months after a home-perming disaster many years ago. They are also heavy on your head. If you really want to wear one, try to find a lightweight, not too thick and not too long style. Perhaps a hairdresser can put a fall into your hair, or a few extensions blended in with your own hair. Explore your options.

A short cut can still look feminine, and I'm sure it does on you. Wear your hair as normal, it'll be no problem. Different hair lengths is fine, you don't need to look like a bunch of clones. Also, the bride chose you knowing that you have short hair.

wigs are very hot, so be aware of that
why not have a hairpiece instead?
your hairdresser can attach it and blend even with short hair
it will be much cooler for you and i think you will feel less conspicious
with a wig you do wonder if its "in the right place" or moved etc
i think you will look and feel better with a hairpiece
perhaps a tumble of curls?
take anything you will be wearing on your head (flowers etc) and have a practise session

Short hair can still be feminine. See here: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=short%20femi...
A cute lace headband or floral barrettes can do wonders too.
Sure, you can wear a wig, but it kind of seems like overkill. If you already wore wigs from time to time, it might make sense, but I see no reason to go out of your way to get one.

Usually, which too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy and also his face though. Certain guys can pull off long hair and other folks can't.

Well, I have to be able to admit I love girls with long hair... for me, the longer, the actual better... I honestly can't think regarding anyone who looked better with short hair
