Cause and Reason, or there isn't.

    smart people do this:

    differentiate between similar things.

    the more we look at the same thing, the more we realize its not the same thing.

    like we could analyze 2 humans. the more detailed we analyze them, the more we realize how different they are

    anyway,

    cause implies the direct or seen link to an event.

    reason implies the indirect link or unseen link to an event.

    explicitly though, they can be interchanged.

    p.s. if you are good at knowing the difference bt cause and reason, you are good at what they call 'reading in between the lines'

    Cause leads to or results in something.

    Reason explains why something is what it is.

    Ex:

    The cause of the Twin Towers' collapse was that two planes flew into them.

    The reason for the Twin Towers' collapse was that Al-Qaeda wanted to launch an attack on the US.

    Reason is internal and cause is external.
