MATH PROBLEM: IF YOU CAN ANSWER IT THANK YOU!?

Which of the following represents the set of integers greater than or equal to –5?

1.) {−5, −6, −7, …}

2.) {−5, −4, −3, …}

3.) {−5, −4, −3, …, 3, 4, 5}

4.) {all positive numbers}

If you can answer this, thanks so much!

    It's really easy,

    2.) {−5, −4, −3, …}

    Because, a) it includes -5, unlike option 4.

    b) all other numbers are greater than -5 unlike option 1.

    c) it extends along to infinity which covers all other numbers, unlike option 3.

    hence it is the right answer!

    This amuses me greatly.

    Let's do this the long way, shall we?

    1. Let's see, they're going below -5, therefore they're not only the numbers greater than or equal to -5.

    2. THIS IS THE RIGHT ANSWER

    3. This can't be right, because it stops at 5. Last time I checked, numbers kept going after 5.

    4. If it's only positive numbers, it doesn't contain -5, so it's wrong.

    Was that so difficult?

    1. NO . because its numbers...-5,-6,-7,-8 are less than -5

    2. YES...ding ding ding, because all the numbers like -4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5, are greater than -5

    3. NO , because these numbers are not in a function, they stop in the middle, this is called opposite functions:0

    4. NO ....cannot be right because all positive numbers are positive and are no negatives, so there is no equal to -5

    -5 is the smallest value u can have, numbers that are greater than -5 wil be all numbers to the right of it on a number line(-4,-3,-2,,0,1 etc) so the correct answer would be 3. 2 is correct to but 3 has more values so it is wise to pick it.

    option 3 has integers that are equal or greater than.

    option 4 only has integers that are greater than.

    options 1 and 2 are not certain because is incomplete

    the correct option is option 3.

    3) because -5 is equal to the number and the rest are getting closer to becoming positive So they are greater!
