Most guys won't care if the tongue is pierced or not. They're getting head... that's all that matters to them.

Getting your tongue pierced isn't a picnic and is more uncomfortable than correct stretching of ears. But it's nothing to be afraid of. The piercing itself is a pinch, but you will probably much more distracted by the sensation of the needle going through. It does sting, but its such a strange occurance that you're not too likely to notice the little bit of pain. Chooseing an excellent piercer will keep the piercing relatively quick and as painless as possible. Healing a tongue piercing is the most unpleasant part of the process. Your tongue will swell and it will be sore. If you keep yourself in decent shape otherwise (getting enough sleep, managing to eat enough food, etc) the healing process will not be all that terrible. Follow your piercer's directions to ice the area and keep it clean, and you won't need to worry about infections or complications. Your swelling should go down in 4 days or so and you'll start getting back to normal. If you are devoted enough to take the time to stretch your ears properly, then you can easily get through a few days of discomfort in order to have a tongue piercing. Choose a great piercer and take good care of your piercing.

Well, if you've stretched your ears correctly (as in you've waited a full 2 months in between stretches) then having 00g ears should have caused you little to no pain. If you want a tongue piercing, get it. People are always going to build up the experience for you, and tell you how excruciating it was, when in fact it's not all that painful. Don't think about the pain, and it won't hurt.

Not long ago I wanted to get my tongue pierced so I researched the health affects and found this:

"I don dental work and let me tell you something jewelry inside and around the mouth. Most mouth jewelry takes the form of removable studs, hoops or barbell-shaped devices that are purchased commercially. Dentists are often the first to note any harmful effects resulting from the piercing process or the jewelry itself, such as fractures or cracks in the tooth structures caused by a metallic barbell stud. Additional negative effects include:

    pain

    post-placement swelling

    prolonged bleeding

    gum injury

    permanent numbness

    loss of taste

    oral hygiene problems

In addition, piercing has been identified by the National Institutes of Health as a possible vehicle for transmission of hepatitis B, C, D and G, and HIV.

you also have to remember Body piercers are not members of the medical profession

In one case, a teen with a heart defect did not take any preventive antibiotics before the piercing and was unaware of the possible complications of the procedure and its association with the heart defect. The article points out that the needle inserted through the tongue during piercing may have allowed bacteria to enter the bloodstream, resulting in an infection in the heart.

Most episodes of tongue piercing may proceed uneventfully, but the severity of reported complications makes the practice difficult to condone. Body piercers are unlicensed and are not members of the medical profession. Usually, no health histories are taken at tongue-piercing establishments, no emergency kits are available, no preventive antibiotics are used, and no postoperative care after piercing is available."

If it's done right a piece of metal rubbing on your c**k is not an improvement. I have always assumed tongue studs are for people that aren't that good at it.
