There are a number of things pushing gun sales but its clear that many people have little faith in politicians upholding the constitution that like they swore to do when they took office.
I will also submit that guns and shooting sports have simply become more mainstream. 49 of 50 states have some form of concealed carry and 41 of them are shall issue states. There are lots and lots of competitive shooting sports that people are discovering and women shooters have seen a huge swell in the last few years. Sure you can say Obama is a factor but he's hardly the only factor.
