Why do so many people consider O.P.I nail polish "high end"?

It's freakin' UNDER nine bucks and you can buy it at the drugstore! It's better than Wet n' Wild for example but it ain't the holy grail. Could somebody explain?

To some people, 8 bucks for a nail polish is expensive. Nail polish 2-6 is considered drugstore, but once you get to 7 dollars and above, its considered high end.

Its not super high-end, just like MAC isn't super highend compared to chanel or dior, so opi is not super highend compared to butter london.

Because its a little bit more than nail polish would cost. Others range from $2-6. O.P.I cost from $5-9. And you could also buy it from salon. And its just better than other nail polish.

OPI and Essie are the brands you will find in all nail salons. They are quality polishes which chip less, and don't streak as poorly as other brands.

And paying $9 or slightly under for a polish is pretty excessive. If the price were higher and people were purchasing it, I think it would get a little abusrd with how much you were paying for mere nail polish.

It is a higher quality nail polish, that last longer, without chipping or flaking off and does not take as many layers to get the quality look that you prefer.
