Horrible pain in my foot...?

Hi there! For about 2 months now I have had a horrid pain on the inside of my right foot. Its at the end of my arch where it meets my heel. The pain is worse if I am up moving around and bending. When I bend down it feels like something is going to pop right on out of that spot. I called a foot doctor here but he cant see me for another month... :( I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what may be causing this pain.

Thanks.

Update:

Hi Frodo... i have low arches it looks like..and there isnt any pain in my heel. As far as shoes..I usually have flats on..since I have to dress nice for work.

    Hello,

First of all I am sorry that you have this pain, it must be frustrating.

It is difficult to say exactly what it is based on the info you provided. It can be anything from Plantar Fasciitis to a nerve related issue.

In order to diagnose you better please answer these questions:

    1) Do you have pain in your heel as well?

    2) Do you have high or low arches?

    3) What kind of shoes you usually wear?

    4) Did you start any sports activity lately?

    5) Does it hurt worse first thing in the morning?

    6) Is there any visible bruising or redness?

Here are a few things you can do right now:

    1) Ice your arch at least 4 times a day, either by applying ice directly or by rolling a frozen bottle under your heel and arch when you sit down.

    2) Avoid walking on your hurt heel/foot for a few days.

    3) Wrap it up with an ace bandage.

Again, if you can answer my questions I would be happy to assist you further.

    Thanks for the additional information.

Based on it I would probably diagnose Plantar Fasciitis.

Please email me so I can help you further.

    Take care,
