Bearded Dragon tank size?

Hi i have a 1 year old bearded dragon about a foot and a quarter long or so, anyways i am needing a new tank for him. He is in a 30 gallon at the moment. i have looked at a 50-55gallon tank and they all the same width of my 30 gallon but longer. will this work for my beardie? or does it need to be both wider and longer?

Nope the 50-55 gal will be just fine :) You could look into a 55 gal Breeder tank, though, I think they're wider and a little bit longer too.

I prefer a tank that is 70+ gallon, they need loads of space with lots of climbing and moving areas or they become very bored and seem lethargic. Here are examples of cages: http://reptile-parrots.com/forums/showthread.php/1...
