my lover loves to wear them, mostly with longer skirts(knee length) does not really like pantyhose or thigh highs but prefers gartered stockings

Pantyhose usually...don't actually have to but it's preferred. And they do feel pretty nice if they're good ones.

Pantyhose most of the time, tights occasionally. I do so out of choice because they maximize the potential of my outfits, positively augment my legs, and they feel good.
However, based on your other questions, it appears you are fishing for other motives when you use the word "enjoy."

Stockings... never, pantyhose's, yes! I like them with shorts and skirts... but never the skin colored ones, only black and white! I don't like colors because they make me look fat :( !!
