If birth control is so effective, why do teenagers still fall pregnant?
Most say they were on the pill or used a condom, why does it still happen in this day and age? It is not like girls this age purposely plan to get pregnant when there are so many opportunities around for further education. Sex education is prominent in schools. Why do so many girls get pregnant so young? Does it ruin their lives?

Because they don't use birth control, most of them are trying to get pregnant just to keep some boyfriend in their life that they don't trust. The girls don't believe that their boyfriend really loves them and they think the boys will just get bored and leave, so they think 'hey, i can tell him that sex is better for him without condoms and i can pretend im on the pill but im really not then he will *** in me and ill be pregnant and we will stay together forever and get married and have a beautiful baby'
I see this way too much in society. Trust me, people aren't forgetting pills or anything, they do not use birth control.
EDIT: In saying this, im not talking about ALL teenagers, but this is one of the main reasons. I don't mean to offend anyone who genuinely got pregnant by accident - condom breaking etc. Or other circumstances too revolting to name.

I was 17 and a senior in high school when I got pregnant with my first. I was on the pill, although I asked for implanon, and I took it exactly how my Dr told me too. I had a lot of problems with the pill. I was on it almost 3 years before I fell pregnant. My boyfriend watched me take it every night so we were very shocked when we found out we were expecting. No it did not ruin my life, but it doesn't mean it can't for someone else. The situation revolves around the maturity of the people in it. I spent my entire year pregnant. At graduation I was 36 weeks. I busted my ass to finish, not only did I do that my boyfriend graduated college that year, we got our own place, he works full time and I started college that fall. It is not as easy as it sounds. It is hard work to take care of a child and to do all of that. Some people grow up when they become pregnant. Others want a baby just to show off, but don't want to do the hard ****. So it really depends on the person.

It has to be used properly. Most girs will say they were on the pill but a lot of them forget to take it here and there there for it doesn't give them the full effect.
A lot of girls remain uneducated because they don't listen or interpret it correctly or it's just not taught very well in some places.
Some are just too young and naive and think they can do it once and they wont get pregnant or of course get caught up in the moment and forget to use protection.
Different contraception works differently for everyone too and nothing is 100%

TWO forms of birth control is far more effective than only one. As you know, birth control can fail. Condoms fall off.
In many cases, teenagers aren't using birth control because they are afraid to bring up the subject with parents.
My husband was a father at 14. None of his kids (and none of his kids' friends) had unwanted pregnancies while in high school. He was VERY adamant to discuss protection with his kids and their friends starting at age 11. If more parents did this with their sons, there would be far fewer pregnancies.
As to ruining their lives, it depends on the girl and her background. If her family is poor, chances are, the child will also grow up in poverty. If her family is middle class, chances are the child will do quite well, especially if the family is very supportive.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/f87e9

This is what I've been told:
-Girl forgets to take pill, can't go in to get the shot.
-Taking medicine can counteract the pills, so they're no longer effective.
-Having sex too soon after getting on the pill/starting a new one.
-The pills could've been recalled or expired.
-Condom broke.

Birth control is only as effective as it's user AND even if used perfectly, there's still a window for failure. As for whether it ruins the young women's lives or not, well that's up to them. A baby shouldn't pay for it's parent's misgivings about parenting any more than a young Mom should feel evil or less than for having a baby early on. Abortion is always an option for those who feel they don't wish to parent.

Even in this day and age, teenagers are still stupid. Being an unwed teenage mother does absolutely ruin not only the girl's life but also her innocent baby's life. Adoption should be encouraged much more than it is today. It's a win/win.

The girl forgets to take a pill and that screws everything up. Also teens aren't the best at predicting the consequences of their actions.
