You have a classmate that is taking the same test.
CFC substitutes have partial substitution or complete removal of chlorine or bromine from the molecule. The substitutional compounds include hydrogen and fluorine, as required to achieve a target boiling point.
Chlorine and bromine are knocked off their molecules in the intense energy of the ozone layer. Chlorine and bromine photocatalytically destroy ozone back to oxygen molecules.

There is a mountain of info on this topic just search on `Ozone depleting chemicals' and `Montreal Protocol' and you should find all you need. Also, remember that a lot of the substitutes are still damaging to the environ in one way or another but just not quite so bad as the originals
