(Statistics) Can someone give me an example of a binomial model?

I've exhausted my textbook's examples and still don't really understand how to calculate probability using this model. Any sample questions/links to them would be great.

Suppose there are 5 possible guys who might ask you to the prom. The probability of any one of them asking you is 30%. The probability of any one of them asking you is entirely independent of any other one asking you. What is the probability you will get exactly 3 invitations?

    P(x=3) = 5C3 * (.30^3) * (.70^2) = .132
