No way ~ John McGuinness is brilliant ~ watching him break the 130 mph barrier was the best thing I have ever seen ~ John would not take on anything he could not do well at ~ he is The King of The Mountain Road and I am sure he will do well this year ~ I will be there cheering him on :-)

No I don't think so, he is the master of getting the best out of any machine, petrol or electric. Yes he may be getting older and perhaps a little slower, but his experience counts for a lot and has seen him use it many times to take a win or podium position so don't discount him. He knows the IoM circuit better than most and at the slower speed of the electric bikes I think he will do very well indeed, pushing it to the limits of it capabilities while probably staying within his own. As to the other categories, the younger riders may have youthful exuberance, but the wise head of a seasoned campaigner will serve him well, he is not finished yet and will be there or there abouts come the end as long as the machinery stays in one piece.

Not at all, if you mean the electric bike. These machines have a limited performance relative to conventional machinery.Could there be a more inch perfect smoother rider than john, he knows the mountain circuit and up to a point age equals experience and despite his many wins he is not over the hill just yet. I think he will do it and probably pick up another couple of wins in the other classes despite the fact this years races are going to be even more competitive with several riders after his crown

A short stint on the bike at Motegi probably wont be enough to think about him winning the TT Zero on his first attempt. Rutter already has 2 wins on the MotoCzysz. and I agree with Wiggysan the 100mph barrier will fall this year. they were only .4 off it last year.
I would expect John to pick up one of those limited edition trophies for the first 10 to pass the 100 mph lap times. he may even get the £10,000 prize for the first 100mph lap. (doesnt have to win the race, just lap first)
he wont be there just to make up the numbers - you can count on that

I take it you mean the Mugan TTX ?
No.
Why would it be my good man.
McPint is the fastest man on the rock, no matter what you give him, it will be perfect & he will make it fly.
As for the TTX, it will break the 100MPH, but so will the MotoCzysz this year. Both will be a LOT slower then the pace McPint is used to.
