Update:

Tao Man - This is a dinosaur bone. Not coral.

Effectively none. The half-life of C14 is 5730 years. 65 million years is 11344 half-lives! The amount of C14 in bones that old would be immeasurably small. C14 dating only works for things up to 62000 years old max.

He built the world to make us think the earth is older than it really is. For example, a scientist may perform a carbon-dating process on an artifact. He finds that approximately 75% of the Carbon-14 had decayed by electron emission to Nitorgen-14, and infers that this artifact is approximately 10,000 years old, as the half-life of Carbon-14 appears to be 5,730 years. But what our scientist does not realize is that every time he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the results with His Noodly Appendage. We have numerous texts that describe in detail how this can be possible and the reasons why He does this. He is of Course invisible and can pass through normal matter with ease.

    none.

    1. The bone is fossilized meaning most if not all the original carbon has been replaced

    2. Carbon 14 is good for up to about 50,000 to 100,000 years in terms of dating.

    3. for dating dinosaur fossils you'd be interested in the substrate it was in, if you use radiometric dating you'd use methods that deal with elements that have an extremely long half life--like potassium

I don't think they use carbon dating for that. But to date anything using these methods there are formulas you use. I remember from my chemistry class years ago. We had to learn how to date things and we used the formula. I haven't done it in like 10 years and I majored in history and not science, so I don't know how to do it anymore. I'd need to look it up and I'm sure you could do the same. I'm sure there's a website that has the formulas for all the isotopes and ****. You might want to ask this in the science section as this is a science question.

exciting outlook... The registration of time is a man made element. in spite of "present day" gadgets to furnish us some perception into how previous the earth is, the celebs are , how some distance away or the age of prehistoric fossils and guy, we ought to constantly agree on one undertaking. they're all man made calculations, and therefor concern to being incorrect. Even the thought the earth is only 6000 years previous got here from a guy who calculated this from anceint text textile. Granted the text textile may be "supported" via archaeological findings, suposition or perhaps some wager artwork. yet then so are most of the organic sciences. How some distance off ought to any calculation be, organic or non secular? it somewhat is yet another question to be debated. i'm a "borderline". I actual have studied the organic sciences maximum of my person existence and that i carry a PhD in Comparative faith. it somewhat is only achievable that some day we can locate out--yet i may be extra in touch if the caluclations of having the flexibility to knock an asteroid out of the earths direction have been extra advantageous than the calculations of the time tables for dinosaurs or God. None. C-14 radiodating can only be used to date objects to at the most 150,000 years, even with the most advanced methods.

Not much, carbon dating is only used to date things a few thousand years old.

Fossils are no longer actual bone anymore either, fyi.

You are aware that carbon-14 dating is not the most accurate way of dating organic objects now...right?

    You display your ignorance!

Not enough to be reliably dated. Carbon dating is accurate up to about 30 000 years.

It would be fossilized, which would create different forms of carbon..
