Old tank ornaments with algae - safe?

I have some old aquariu ornaments from when I used to keep betta fish. They have been sitting in storage for a couple years but are still covered in algae.

I boiled them and got as much algae off as I could... are they safe now to put in my new goldfish tank?

Thanks =)

    soak them in water for a couple days at least, in an fish safe container (never used for anything else, no soap residue etc)

    to rot off any excess algae and to hopefully remove anything that might have gotten on them.

    the boiling works, but soaking for longer might get some more.

    but yes, they're safe even right now.
