Unfortunately, you cannot learn jazz online or from a video. You need a teachers eyes and hands on you for correction as well as a studio that has a sprung or floating floor with "give" in it so you wont get injured. You also really need ballet technique before you take jazz in order to be any good at it. If you are at least 13 (the minimum age for this site) perhaps you can take some adult or teen/adult beginner ballet classes that have no performance and that teach ballet technique. Many schools that are recital schools often offer these too. You may have to take class with some of the moms but if you can deal with that, it may solve your problem. You may have to travel to the next town to find this if your local school doesn't have this. It is certainly worth asking about. Then you can join the jazz class and not embarrass yourself performance time, because you will have some dance technique that will serve you well in that class.
