legal question about a package delivery?
I had a package fedexed to my house the fedex guy gave to a neighbor who opened it and stole one of the items and retaped it and gave it back. The neighbor signed for it and lied to the fedex guy about who she was but he said there is nothing he can do. Legally is there anything I can do about this? I have no proof except that she signed and one item out of five is missing, I am so frustrated please help.

In the US at least, it's you against the neighbor, you'd have to press charges. Don't throw away the shipping box, if it's obviously been retaped that's evidence. Your other option is to contact the shipper, they might just reship you the 1 item that's missing. I'm aware of that happening here in the US.
