None. They do not protect hair 100%. Like using sunscreen, you still get sunburned. Same with hair.

1.) Aussie heat protecting shine spray
2.) take small sections and don't turn the straightener up too high just high enough to straighten it out
3.) Using a heat protectant is better than ruining your bare hair and if you don't smell burning hair then you're not burning your hair.
