    Because he was knighted by the Queen of England. Many other celebrieties are Sir's, even Ozzy Osbourne!

    Because he was knighted.

    This has nothing to do with royalty, and one doesn't have to be rich to be called Sir, and being rich doesn't ensure that one is a knight.

    @ GABE...think you mean the BRITISH MONARCH...No such title as Queen of England....He deserved it for service to business etc......
