Classical Disney Songs?
Im looking for some classical versions of famous Disney songs, but songs that are more suitable to be played to help soothe a child and send them to sleep?
So far, all i can think of is Beauty & The Beasts Tale As Old As Time (my favourite) and Aladins Whole New World.
Any links or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In addition to "Fantasia"--Disney studios attempted a "sequel" called "Fantasia 2000"--except for a repeat of the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" sequence, included new animation and other classical music selections not in the original 1940 "Fantasia".

"Sleeping Beauty" adapted themes from Pyotr (Peter) Tchaikovsky's ballet of the same name, but used them to create more pop type songs such as "Once Upon a Dream".

The singing was done by soprano Mary Costa who actually did study singing at a conservatory and performed legitimate opera in esteemed houses like the Royal Opera and the Metropolitan Opera.

Some Disney shorts also adapted classical music for its soundtracks--sometimes merely quoting a brief passage, but there were things like "Peter and the Wolf"
by Sergei Prokofiev--that was animated in full and the live-action short "Grand Canyon ", music by Ferde Grofé.

As for wanting just any "Disney" songs--if you just google "top Disney songs" it will lead you to several links on Youtube. But you also seem to be looking for Disney songs that can be used for lullabies.
You can find this easily enough by googling "Disney lullaby". Just check Amazon.com and you will be amazed at the selection you can find just there!

if you're speaking about the songs characters sing, none of them are classical. There are some that is considered musical theater (exceptionally if the coach is on broadway accurate this second) yet none are classical.

"Classical Disney"? You might be interested in this - http://www.amazon.com/Heigh-Ho-Mozart-Favorite-Cla...
It's arrangements of well-known Disney songs in the style of classical composers (Pocahontas: Colors of the Wind [in the style of Dvorak], Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Heigh Ho! [in the style of Mozart] and so on).

Mamianka is correct. Other than Fantasia and Sleeping Beauty, I can't think of any other Disney movie that uses classical music.

Unless one includes things like Fantasia, classical music was not used in Disney. I think you mean *classic* Disney songs - selections that became so popular as to be part of our pop culture - which is NOT NOT NOT the same thing as classical music - not by a long shot.
