Songs to learn sight reading for guitar?
So I've been playing guitar for about 3 years but I've just now started learnig to read standard music notation. What are some songs that I can learn from sheet music and possibly sight read. I'm mostly into rock and metal, but I'd really like to use the opportunity to get more into classical or like Spanish/flamenco music. or anything really. all ideas are appreciated. thanks.

If you want to improve your sight reading abilities, then you need to challenge yourself with a constant stream of NEW material. If you're reading something for the 2nd time, you're no longer practicing your sight reading.
Go buy a big fat jazz fake book. Sit down every night and try to read down a song. Spend maybe 10 minutes on the melody, then 10 minutes on the chords.
The reason I specify a jazz fake book is because you want good melodies that will actually challenge you, rock stuff won't do that. Yeah, it's cool, but it's also pretty rudimentary.

I'm drawing a blank right now on what the name of the book is called, but there is a series of books for beginner to advanced guitar players that has all sorts of songs from the Beatles to Nirvana and such. Also, you can go to any piano store and get a couple of piano sheet musics. Of course you'll have to follow the melody for the words to the song because its written for piano after all, but hey, you could always learn beethoven's 9th on the guitar. that would be sweet.
