I'm convinced he cheated in the Cotto fight. For a guy to say he didn't know he was loaded after he got caught before the Mosley fight is just stupid, and 100% bullshit. Anyone who believed Margarito when he said that is just gullible, or ignorant to the fact that every fighter knows exactly whats underneath his gloves, seeing as he's watching when his hands are wrapped. I think he'd been doing it a while before he got caught with it, and that he'd still be doing it had he not been caught red handed. It's a shame he's still able to compete professionally in the sport. I never did think he was a very skilled boxer, but I liked how he could take a punch and keep coming so I respected him for that. After his dirty little secret came to light, I have no more respect for him as a person, much less a boxer.

People can sit and say innocent until proven guilty, this and that. I know a bullshitter when I see one. I'm good about reading people, and the way Margarito acted when questioned about it on face off told me all I needed to know. So that's what I believe, regardless of if we have proof or not.

Yeah he did. Cotto might have had a ideal list up till his combat in opposition to Pacquiao and his 1st misplaced you might now not assume him to get overwhelmed that badly in opposition to Margarito of everyone, who was once up and down together with his efficiency round that point. Cotto face appeared very similar to Billy Collins Jr face whilst he confronted Resto (whilst Resto had cheated). Margarito obtained off lovely convenient From an editorial -- "In November 2009, it emerged that pink stains at the hand wraps Margarito used within the Cotto combat have been very similar to the stains at the inserts seized earlier than the Mosley combat. This has raised suspicions that Margarito's gloves have been loaded for that combat, and probably others as good."

Yes. I was amazed to see Cotto getting busted up like that and just midway through the fight when he had been through similar wars against tough foes including Shane Mosley who hit even harder than Margarito and never suffered damage as intensive, Though Margarito threw his punches in bunches, Cotto managed to slip, block and catch some of them and it's surprising that some that did connect would have cause such gruesome damage. There are also no precedents of Margarito doing the same thing against his earlier formidable foes such as Paul Williams and Kermit Cintron.

I THINK he did use loaded gloves. If you look carefully at how Margarito throws his punches you will notice that he doesn't put his body into the punch he only uses his arms which technically speaking there's not power in his punches, or at least not enough power to make Cotto's face look the way it did in a short time into the fight. Cotto's nose was bleeding in the second round even though Margarito wasn't landing many punches.

Yes he did it , i sometimes wonder if Margarito didn't no and that his trainer was putting the plaster powder in his gauze wraps , so when Margarito's hands sweat that's when the gauze became solid .

The picture Cotto was showing the world clearly showed that the gauze on Margarito's glove was broken off and cracked .

He was caught cheating in the Mosley fight using loaded wraps. No question! Guilty! To say he loaded his gloves to beat an old Mosley who everyone including Margarito's camp figured was done but did not do the same when fighting someone that was considered a tough prime fighter who was odds on favorite to win? Come on now

You cheat to get an upper hand against someone who your supposed to beat, but not when your fighting someone your supposed to lose to? Yea right there Margarito.

Watch his fights prior to Cotto, he was always a slow starter, usually 4 or 5 rounds before he would get started. This could have been because he was waiting for the wraps to harden. Notice during the Mosley fight, the Pacquaio Fight, and the Cotto 2 fight he starts fighting much sooner, his punches are less effective.

Martinez who was stopped on a tko to Margarito said he believes Margarito hit much to hard as well, and in light of getting caught Martinez believes he used them in his fight as well. Although I cannot put much faith in that because its a way for everyone who lost to Margarito to say he cheated and the loss does not count, but maybe they have a right.

Compare the two fights, a prime Cotto starts getting hit and his face immediately goes to ****, and he seems hurt by every punch. Second fight a damaged Cotto takes Margarito's best shots and overcomes.

Cotto after the first fight stated that he was amazed at how hard Margarito could punch (before he was caught with the wraps) After the second fights Cotto said he noticed a difference.

Maybe in a court of Law none of that is enough to get a conviction MAYBE, but when a fighter is caught cheating using loaded gloves his entire career is called into question.

So do I believe Margarito cheated in the first Cotto fight? ABSOLUTELY, only someone who loves Margairot and ignores reality would think otherwise.

Do I have a smoking gun and video evidence? NO but I have reason and logic and for me that's enough for me to believe that he did. Call me a realist i guess.

If you played a poker game every Friday, Big stakes, and Frank seemed to win 80% of the time, he always had Ace's, or Kings, always made good calls and always took your money. Then after a couple months your playing a game and you catch him holding Ace's up his sleeves? What would you do?

    A. Tell him he loses that particular hand he got caught cheating in. But you still consider him to be the best poker player you know.

    B. Kick him out of the game and not allow him to play anymore, call him an asshole and inform everyone he was cheating.

    C. Kick him out of the game and demand all your money back?

    D. Kick the every living **** out of him?

If you choose to let him keep playing, and figure it was only that one time he cheated, but all of a sudden he never wins as much, makes bad calls, and seems not be that great a poker player after being caught? Would you demand the smoking gun? Or would just tell him to take a hike.

Who among us here can provide an evidence that he did? Who among the whole boxing world can show any kind of proof that he did? It was just a speculation and people especially boxing fans loved controversy. Even my belief is not enough to accuse him of the said crime and my belief even dwindle down after what I saw to the hand of Nonito Donaire on his last fight that discoloration to the wraps is possible because of the blood. People, I would say were judgmental and fast in accusing others of wrongdoings pretending that they were clean. Unless we can come up with an evidence, Margarito should be presume innocent of cheating.
