Can some one Help me with Thermal fuse ?

I have a george Foreman grill Im trying to repair, It has a thermal fuse that needs replacing .

they have the fuse I need on ebay, I need to know what type of solder I need to use to solder the new fuse into place, It had some kind of appliance type solder that my soldering Iron wouldn't even heat up, had to cut the old fuse from the grill with wire cutters I need to know what mix of solder do I need and what size and how hot do I need the soldering Iron to be what wattage or can I use wire glue to make the connection

    Dont understand about their solder being that high temp, unless its high temp engineering because of the use. That could be the reason, but then again, solder melts at about 900 degrees F. give or take depending on the specific alloy. Cooking is done in the 250 to 400 degree range, not hot enough to be a problem for the solder. So.....I would recommend silver solder, standard iron, small tip. I had a similar problem with a weed whacker. I just cut it out and bypassed it, splicing the wires w/ a wire nut. But then, I'm not cooking with it.

    Just happened to notice- 250 volts? Really? No household appliance I've ever seen runs on that power, mainly because there is no such power being generated in the US. Standard power in homes is 110 volts. The ONLY thing sold that takes that kind of power is an electric clothes dryer, which requires a special dedicated feed from the power box, and that is only 220 volts. Never sen anything rated at 250 volts. Even one leg of a 440 three phase setup is 277 volts, not 250. Are you sure its 250 volts?

    your vent is blocked in some way, climate it is clogged or overwhelmed some thing it causeing the warmth to construct up and that's inflicting the thermal and the safty to blow. as quickly as you have the line sparkling you would be in business enterprise. good success.
