I have known a number of atheists, but I suspect any of them who had a Christ-like character were disinclined to speak much about their beliefs or lack of them, so they may not have identified themselves as atheists.

I have known many agnostics that I might describe as being Christ-like. Before I returned to my Christian faith I might have been described that way, because I have long felt Jesus was an excellent example of how a person should act and treat others, and I very much liked his message.

When I drifted into agnosticism it was because my faith was weaker than it should have been. Later my faith grew and I returned to Christianity.

My friend Dave. He seemed to have a very gentle disposition, and always a listening ear. It concerned me that he know there is a Way, and the Name is Jesus. Once beyond this point in the discussion, we had to agree to disagree.

I do pray for him to have a conversion experience every time he comes to my mind. We don't see one another very often, but it is still a good thing to remember those we have been friends and acquaintances with in the past.

I've never met a “Christian” with one let alone an atheist.

There are many that are good people, but this is not the point of the Christian idea of salvation, We ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, Christians and Atheist alike, and have need of forgiveness, no one is perfect. only one ever was "Jesus" and He was sacrificed for our sin. He took our punishment, so we may live forever with God.

Antony Flew, even in the days when he was an atheist, exhibited a level of patience and respect when dialoging with an opponent that is very uncommon among many atheists today.
