Torrent Movies: Display subtitles only when NOT in English?
I was wondering if there was a way (other than going into the .srt files and editing everything out bit by bit) to make subtitles only display when the actors speak in another language other than English. I hate to use subtitles because I find them extremely annoying. I almost always turn them off, but the problem is whenever a scene comes up where they aren't speaking English, things sort of get lost in translation. I was wondering if there was a program or filter that would trigger key subs at certain times instead of having them on at all times. If not someone should make one.
Yes/No/Maybe so?
Thanks..
What kind of answer is that Jake? You know nothing about me or my spending habits. I'd bet anything you want that I have a movie collection at minimum five times what you do. That's just in DVDs and Blurays. I also frequent the movie theaters at least once a month.. Do you do that? I've spent more than I care to admit on media, and not all torrents are free/illegal. I also rip my own movies, as loading the discs is a pain, not to mention all the bs warning messages you get spammed with. It's much easier to store on my media box so that I can stream to any TV or device I want in my home.
In my question, I ask if there is a way to use .srt files (with a program that does it for you). Meaning I don't want to use hardcoding.. Which you're almost forced to do unless you go through a painstakingly long process, which I am trying to avoid.
Also, I could say to your comment, stop killing the internet, please do your part to stamp out stupidity. Log off and go outside,
Hell, maybe even take in a movie... So please stop with the asinine comments and assumptions.
Now.... Is there anyone that is actually knowledgeable about this topic that could give me an answer?
Thanks..

You're getting the film for free. Be grateful for that. If you want proper subtitles, buy it and stop killing the film industry.
