    what's the nth term given as? It aint that clear. However, this is how to go about it.

    For the first term, n=1. So put 1 in place of n and solve to get the first term.

    For the second and third terms , n=2 and n=3 respectively so you put 2 and 3 in place of n and solve to get the second and third terms of the sequence as well.

    n=where abouts the number is in the sequence

    the 1st number in the sequence means that n=1

    the 2nd number in the sequence means that n=2

    the 3rd number in the sequence means that n=3

    and so on for infinity.

    So the first three terms?

    the 1st term n would be 1, because it is the 1st number in the sequence, thus

    3x1quared=3 + 2x1=5 , this is because i substituted n for 1

    2nd term means n would be 2, so substitute n for 2

    3x2 squared=12 + 2x2=16

    the 3rd term, n would be 3

    3x3 squared=27 + 2x3=33

    3x3squared=27 as with the rules of BIDMAS, you do indices first
