A question about lifting weights: bench pressing?

Hey, I've been bench pressing for about 3 months. When I first started benching, my upper body was really sore the next couple days after working out. But after about a month, I started being less and less sore in my upper body muscles after bench pressing. After 3 months, I'm only a little bit sore. The entire time I've been increasing weight as I get stronger, and I work out very hard and intense.

So my question: Should I be getting less sore after bench pressing the longer I've been doing it?

Yes. Muscle growth involves tearing the muscle and building new muscle. After you've done that, you get used to the weight and recover faster.

Try an entirely new style of chest exercises and I guarantee you'll be back in (good) pain and making more gains.

If you are not feeling it on your days off then you are not growing . you need to switch up your routine and keep in mind you are not suppose to be going 110% every time.

do your max lift once a month. you need time to heal and recover.

not just muscles but joints and ligaments.

how much are you benching right now 10 times I can calculate your estimated 1 rep max.

If you are not sore than increase the weight. but also keep in mind bench press alone is not the way to go and can cuse you harm. you can grow deformed in a sense.

you need other angles and machines. you need to do flys. upper and lower chest also.

    be smart and train wisely.

If you gave up for a few weeks then pressed you would be sore again.
