How "private" is IE InPrivate browsing?

Does Internet Explorer InPrivate Browsing protect me from anyone snooping on my computer to see what internet sites I have been to? What about the various free software programs that claim to wipe my hard drive from all traces? Does a software program that costs money do a better job? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Basically when you use any sort of private browsing (e.g. inprivate broswing, chrome's incognito, etc.) it will not keep track of your browsing history, downloads, and anything else you have done on the internet while on that browser.

Private browsing mode of any browser will do that. I use LEO Privacy in my phone to protect me from anyone snooping

Switch your browser to Maxthon3. It is run with Internet Explorer Engine and it is much faster and safer than IE, Firefox and Chrome. It has many Security Features that are to numerous to list here. I use it exclusively after having tried Firefox, and Chrome both. I'm positive that you will be happy with this particular browser. It is all the rage in Asia. It will keep your browsing safe.
