Miniature Horses, a pair, or alone?

I recently had to put my horse down, and I feel alone in a certain spot.

I considered maybe getting a miniature horse, but some questions first.

Should I get two, or are they okay with companionship such as goats?

Oh, and I know they are like horses, they still need the standard things. But how much grain do they need? Hay?

Thanks, :)

I have many miniature horses. I have two herds. They defiantly do not like to be by their self. So I would recommend getting 2 minis.

    Hope this helps,

Horses are herd animals.... regardless of their size.

I would recommend getting two if you are able to provide for them or at least getting a companion animal for the pony, such as a goat or something similar

Also being ponies they are generally very easy keepers so it is very easy to overfeed. Generally a good quality hay and ample grazing time are enough.

I would say rescue two of them, that way they have equine companionship.

We give the minis 1/2 a flake of hay in the morning and 1/2 a flake of hay at night with a handful of grain.

Friends of mine have goats, a mini, a donkey, and three full sized horses. The mini and goats get along really well.
