Younger woman showing interest.?

I'm 50 years old.  I've worked with this girl for about 3 years.  She's around 26.  Very attractive.  She has shown signs of interest in me.  We exchange glances across the room, that kind of thing.  What little we talk she laughs at my jokes and all.  Because of the age difference I've never given her that much attention.  If I ignore her, which I do at times because I don't want to be mistaken for a stalker or anything, she seems to get annoyed with me.  She's very shy so she doesn't talk much and never approaches me but I catch her looking at me a lot.  I don't actually look 50 but I don't look any younger than my early 40's so I don't know if she knows how old I am but surely she knows I'm not her age.  I could ask her out but if I'm wrong, I'm not just that guy that hit on her.  I'm that creepy OLD guy that hit on her.  The stakes are a bit higher, if you know what I mean.  Any suggestions?

The thing about older men is that girls see you as a father grandfather figure that they can trust. That's why she's more open. If you were her age, she's more likely to ignore you and treat you like a dog that try to get in her pants. If you pursue her..you're kinda like breaking that trust.

You should know if she's interested or not. You have to build up to it. I mean, you have to ask her if she would date someone your age..like just random dumb questions.

I think she sees you only as an older friend or a father figure. Even if she would be interested in a relationship with you, it would hardly work out because of your age difference. If I were you I wouldn't pursue any closer contact with this girl.
