Sea anemone questions?
I don't have a saltwater tank, and i don't plan on getting any anemones.
but i do have a few questions about them -
What are these classified under? Are they cnidarians like jellyfish? If so do they sting like jellyfish?
Do they have male/female genders? & how do they reproduce?
How do you feed them/ get them to thrive in a home aquarium?
I know its a lot of questions.. but i find them interesting and realized i had no idea anything about them lol thanks for any input on the subject :)

There are roughly 1,250 known species spread out across the world. All sea cucumbers ore ocean dwellers, but they all do not live in the same type of environment, some inhabit shallow waters and some live in the deep ocean. They live on the ocean floor and sometimes slightly buried. When we observed the creatures we found all four of them underneath rocks where they are protected from most predators. Sea Cucumbers feed on algae, small aquatic animals and waste materials which they gather by there small tentacle like that come out of there mouths. The animals break down these particles into even smaller pieces, which become fodder for bacteria, therefore recycled back into the ecosystem. This organism has many abiotic and biotic factors. In the ocean ecosystem there are many biotic factors which include all living life like plants and animals. There are also abiotic factors which are very important to all marine life; these include water temperature, all minerals/chemicals/substances in the water, rocks, gases and the habitat.

till you have stable lighting fixtures i might stay remote from anemones. they are generally all wild caught. I certainly have have been given and can recomend a Sarcophyton sp. leather-based, rather a bushy leather-based toadstool. my clowns host mine and prefer it to products. in case you have been to pass down the anemone direction, the least complicated out of all to look after are the BTA - bubble tip anemones, yet be warned no nem is effortless to look after and should no longer be put in a aquarium youthful than 1yr previous.
