Hello, I'm planning to use craigs list to get myself a cheap car. 5k and down, It says on certain cars that I need: Current pay stubs, Current Utility Bill, and Cash Down payment? What are these exactly?
I know I'm probably expected to know this when preparing to buy myself my first car...but hey everyone gets there information some how.

Pay stubs and utility bills verify you have a job and an address so they can give you a loan.
You need a down pmt on a loan. If you didn't have to put down any money, people would buy cars and drive them a few months and then abandon them. Putting a bunch of money down makes it a lot less likely you would do that.
